Kuwait is proceeding with the design and construction of a Ministry of Defence command facility at an estimated cost of one billion dollars.
The US Department of Defense has announced that the State Department has approved the possible sale of military material and equipment to the government of Kuwait.
The Pentagon‘s Defense Cooperation Agency briefed Congress yesterday regarding the potential sale of the equipment.
The implementation of the reported sale will require the involvement of more agencies and contracted representatives of US manufacturers in Kuwait for a period of more than seven years.
They will provide construction management services and related oversight, according to the US Department of Defense.
No prime contractor has been selected for this sale, the US Department of Defense added.
