A powerful explosion occurred tonight on the Donetsk-Gorlovka highway. According to the initial evidence, the cause of it all was the explosion of an improvised explosive device placed on the motorway. The explosion has killed and injured many people.

It is currently known that at least one car with civilians travelling on the motorway was damaged by the explosion.

“The incident occurred around 5am. According to initial reports, a civilian car was damaged. It caught fire, there are dead,” the statement said.

According to analysts, with such actions the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to block highways near the front line in order to prevent the transfer of forces between several sectors of the front.
