Russian President Vladimir Putin with an ingenious “trolling” exposed the West, the USA and Ukraine who obsessively insist on seeing “Russian invasions” and even on a specific day.
Specifically, the Americans say that the “Russian invasion” will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, February 16.
So the Russian president asks his associates “did they say what time the war will take place?” asking the Westerners to inform him so that he knows what his schedule will be.
Peskov was asked how Vladimir Putin reacted when he learned about the reports about the date of Russia‘s attack on Ukraine.
“He jokes sometimes, asking us to check if they are reporting the exact time when the war will start,” the Russian president‘s spokesman said.
At the same time, the Ukrainian president is making statements saying that Russia will invade the country on 16 February,
But Russia announced today that the troops it had deployed on the border with Ukraine for exercises are being withdrawn to their bases.
This was preceded by statements by Maria Zakharova, a spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, that the West had been embarrassed, but also by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who spoke of. . hysteria and now, the ultimate troll for the West: the irony of Vladimir Putin‘s irony with which he literally “finished” it.
Earlier, the Kremlin confirmed the start of a withdrawal of Russian forces stationed near the Ukrainian border, calling it a “normal procedure” and denouncing Western “hysteria” about an alleged imminent invasion.
“We have always said that after the completion of the exercises, (. . . ) the troops would return to their bases. This is what is happening here, it is the usual procedure,” said Dmitry Peskov.
According to him, Moscow will in the future organise more “exercises throughout Russia” because “it is our right to organise exercises on our territory, wherever we consider it appropriate“.
The Interfax news agency reported, citing the Russian Northern Fleet, that more than 20 ships of that force have begun exercises in the Barents Sea.
Reuters notes that the exercises in Arctic waters between Russia and Norway are part of the broader drills that have raised fears in the West, particularly in the US, that Moscow may invade Ukraine.
Peskov denounced a “campaign without any precedent whatsoever which aims to provoke tensions“. “It‘s the kind of hysteria that is based on nothing,” he said, attacking the West.
It should be noted that the date of the “invasion” was leaked by the CIA, i. e. the Americans.
