Twelve civilians injured in Houthi drone attack targeting Saudi Arabia’s Abha airport
The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said Saudi defenses have destroyed the drone
DUBAI: Twelve civilians were injured in a drone attack targeting Saudi Arabia’s Abha airport on Thursday, state news agency SPA reported.
The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said Saudi defenses have destroyed the drone. It added that it would take operational measures in response to the threat of targeting civilian airports and travelers.
Abha airport, along with its neighboring city Khamis Mushait, had seen repeated drone and missile strikes in the recent years since Saudi Arabia first led the coalition in helping Yemen’s legitimate government fight the Iran-backed Houthis.
